Travel Funding Guidelines

Travel funding is made available for BCHJA Members who reside in BC.

Trainers of riders must be members for riders to receive funding.

Funding is available for those who qualify to represent BC at final championships hosted across Canada. Funding can be given to each rider/horse combination.

Royal West - $750 per combination.

RAWF - $1,500 per combination.

Amounts can be adjusted each year depending on inflation.

For other international finals, applications can be submitted, and the Board will vote and decide on an amount to be provided (based on yearly budget), if application is approved.

For members to take part in travel funding, riders and trainers must be BCHJA members before the first day of competition of the ‘finals’ event.

All applications must be submitted to BCHJA (bchunterjumper@gmail.com) by no later than two weeks upon completion of event. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be accepted. Rider/horse must have completed in ‘final’ class to receive funding.

All BCHJA member coaches that complete an Equine Canada High Performance 1 (HP1) are eligible to apply for a BCHJA Bursary.  Forward proof of completion and your application to bchunterjumper@gmail.com within one year of your upgrade.
